Air Agency Certificate

  • Can anyone help ?
How do u get an air agency certificate from a Part 61 school in USA??!?
The DgCa needs an air agency certificate for conversion of the CPL while FAA doesnt issue on for part 61 schools even if they follow FAA norms and regs.
  • You cant get an Air Agency Certificate for a Part 61 flight school . You can try asking your DPE or FAA inspector from the local FSDO to issue on their letterhead saying that all training at the flight school is recognised by the FAA and thats the reason you were issued an FAA Pilot license
  • On another note how did you train at a Part 61 Flight school ? Only Part 141 flight schools are allowed to issue student visas…
  • alot of part 61 flying schools get international students on an i-20 issued by some other 141 flying school !! I know a few in Florida…and surprisingly its legal to do that as all part 141 flying schools are also part 61 and they can rent planes/instructors from other part 61 schools
  • Understood . At the end of the day its students that suffer because they are not aware that Part 61 flight schools dont have an Air Agency Certificate which the DGCA wants
